Free WordPress SSL Certificate (The Green Padlock)

Get a free WordPress SSL Certificate on your website. When you have a valid SSL Certificate, you can see the green padlock in address bar in all browsers that support it. This gives your visitors a visual assurance of your security and can increase conversion rates on your site.

Cloudflare speeds up and protects millions of websites, APIs, SaaS services, and other properties connected to the Internet. With their FREE shared SSL certificate, you can get your WordPress site from HTTP to HTTPS.

In January 2017, Chrome version 56 began marking sites that send passwords or
credit cards as non-secure as part of its long-term plan to mark all HTTP sites as non-secure.

The warning will become more prominent as time goes on.

“Eventually, we plan to label all HTTP pages as non-secure, and change the HTTP security indicator to the red triangle that we use for broken HTTPS,” Chrome Security Team Emily Schechter said.

This guide is all you need to do just that.

Only Sefa Tsegha and Akiode Segun Oluwatosin knew what I went through trying to secure Podlobe’s website. I had intentionally left the SSL part of the registration out. I didn’t see the need for it since we wouldn’t be collecting people’s infomation, until I listened to Sefa Tsegha’s podcast on SSL.

That inspired to find out more. I realised it was not wise to leave a website unsecured. I went through the internet, learning ways to do it. I am the DIY kind of person, but after following “due” process, it still didn’t work, locked myself out of the website and CSS Loadstyle won’t work. Omo, I removed the whole thing mehnn! One time!

But thanks to Akiode Segun Oluwatosin, (he had faced similar issue and quickly recognised what I was going through). He reached out to me and encouraged me to try it again the Sefa’s way!

And atlas, it worked! Just like that! The cheapest SSL certificate I know of out there is N7,000, not to mention installation fee your web manager will collect from you. But here is Sefa Tsegha offerring this for only N1,500!

What?! yeahhhh, only 1, 500 naira. Siddon there dey dull yoursef.

It was like climbing a mountain with Aso rock on your head for some of us who are not too knowledgeable about the internet and web management,my site was unsecured and all i tried on my own didnt work, while my my website manager wants between 16k-20k to help me fix the ssl issues but Mr Sefa Tsegha came to my rescue like an angel from from heaven giving you water in the middle of a desert.

I’m sincerely grateful to Sefa for for his humility, kindness and above all the desire to help people like us.
following the instructions holistically in his book ‘ The green padlock’ I was able do have my site secured and the joy of doing it myself was so satisfying.

Thank you very much Mr Sefa, God bless you, looking forward to doing more business with you.
